FAQs

What is the first step?
I offer a free brief phone consultation where we can talk about what you are looking for in therapy and explore whether we might be a good fit to work together. If we decide to move forward, we will schedule an initial session where I’ll get to know you and your experiences more fully. From there, we can discuss how often to meet based on your needs and preferences. I believe therapy works best when it feels like the right match, and we will continue to check in about this as we go. If at any point it feels like a different therapist might be a better fit, I’m happy to help with referrals.

Where do you provide services?
I see clients in person in Kennebunkport, Maine and I also offer online therapy to clients throughout the state of Maine using a secure, confidential video platform.

What is telehealth?
Telehealth is simply therapy conducted online using a secure video platform. It allows you to meet with me from home or another private space, making it easier to fit therapy into your life in a way that feels comfortable and convenient.

What ages do you see?
I work with teens (ages 13 and up) and adults. For teens, I believe it’s important that they are personally open to therapy and want to engage in the process themselves. I want this to be a space where each person feels respected, supported, and invested in their own growth — not just attending because someone else says they should.

How long are sessions?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes long.

How often will we meet?
Session frequency depends on your needs and goals. Many clients choose to meet weekly, especially when beginning therapy, to build momentum and create space for steady progress. Others may shift to biweekly over time. We will work together to find a schedule that feels supportive and sustainable for you.

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d be happy to connect and help you learn more about working together.
