What is Internal Family Systems (IFS)?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidence-based approach to therapy that understands the mind as made up of different “parts,” each with its own feelings, perspectives, and roles. Some parts may carry pain or fear, while others work hard to protect you or keep things from feeling overwhelming. In this work, we don’t try to get rid of these parts, but instead take time to understand them with curiosity and compassion. As you begin to connect with a more grounded, steady sense of Self, your internal system can shift in a way that feels more balanced and aligned. What You Can Expect
Through our work together, many clients develop a clearer understanding of their internal patterns and how those patterns influence their choices, relationships, and sense of self. Over time, clients often feel more connected to themselves, more confident in naming needs and boundaries, and better able to stay present rather than shutting down or pulling away.
Therapy often supports increased self trust, emotional resilience, and a more compassionate relationship with yourself. My hope is that you leave therapy feeling more grounded in who you are and more able to move through life with clarity and intention.
